Against The Wind
Oh Wind,
How many times have you encouraged me to go against you?
And I wondered why.
Why would you let me do that?
How many times have you challenged me to do it?
But I shied away from it.
How many times have I felt small trying to go against you and fall?
How many times have I said, ‘No more’?
But you never said anything.
You stayed quiet and were patient with me.
And then I tried again, and I fell again.
But this time I felt different.
Something in me was different.
I no longer felt small.
I said, 'It’s not a big deal; I will try again.'
And I did try again.
